Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the laborers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest - Luke 10:2.

In memory of Raymond Cantu

This ministry is in memory of Raymond Cantu who went home to be with the Lord in July 2015. He began and continued a great work right up to the very end. It would behoove CTWM not to take up where he left off and build on it. Raymond was and continues to be an inspiration to all. He was a godly man with a vision to reach the lost in side prison doors. CTWM continues his legacy to enter into prison doors and preach the gospel.

We welcome all volunteers who have a desire to share their testimony and gifts within prison doors so that the work continues in the spirit and love that Raymond demonstrated in his life here on earth. Please help us continue this work by being a volunteer or donating your monetary resources.

In memory of Yvonne Nakashima

We also remember our beloved Sis. Yvonne who was the MC for Raymond Cantu Prison Ministry for many years. Yvonne went home to be with the Lord in July 2013. Such faithful warriors are lost to the work but we know that YHVH has a calling on the lives of all those who come to Yeshua. It is only for us to answer that call. We know how plentiful the harvest is every time we enter into those prison doors, yet so few come out to volunteer. Yvonne never missed an opportunity and when asked to participate she always responded. What will your response be?

We are all assured that He will continue that work which He began in us until that day of His coming.

The ministry is an opportunity to see many souls come to Yahweh and others renew their relationship in a powerful way. This ministry takes groups of 20 plus individuals into Texas prisons for evangelism. The group goes in on Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm each day. We minister in music, testimonies, the preaches word, opportunities for prayer and two-by-two sharing in a supervised environment although none are allowed to leave the prison once admitted for the day. Guards are present at all times and by following the directives of the prison it is a safe environment to evangelize in.

We serve nachos, Kool-Aid and cookies to the inmates. Individuals are encouraged to bring their musical instruments or accompaniment cds. If you have a skit or a talent that will be conducive within the confines of the prisons it will be welcomed. I would imagine praise dancing would be great and perhaps worship flags. The volunteers come from all walks of life. Some are ex-offenders, some with children incarcerated, other have experienced abuse and very traumatic situations. The volunteers range in age from teens to grandparents. This ministry do not share religion only the gospel. In other words denomination will not be an issue.

The applications are available for each outreach as they are scheduled. A volunteer may attend the outreaches for the first 3 times as a special volunteer but after that you must submit an application with the Texas Department of Correction and attend their required training. This ministry only cost travel to and from the prison and hotel room for the two nights. Four persons usually stay in a room so it is cost effective. You can usually hitch a ride with some one if they are in your area.

I hope that you will consider joining this ministry. Outreaches are every other month. Feel free to contact CTWM if you have questions.
